It’s Showtime’s Hashtag McCoy De Leon and The Killer Bride star Janella Salvador are paired in the upcoming horror film titled “The Heiress”, which will be released on November 27, 2019 in cinemas under Regal Entertainment.
As he invites us to watch “The Heiress”, McCoy delights us with some trivia about the movie by answering the most interesting questions from the netizens in Kapamilya Confessions.
“Abangan n’yo po, hindi lang patayan mangyayari. May sumpaan gano’n, kulam,” says McCoy. He described the upcoming horror film as something unique that must be ranked as a ten, with one being the lowest and ten the highest score, because it will surely terrify everyone. Titled “The Heiress”, he explained that their film will mainly revolve on how a “mambabarang” named Luna (Maricel Soriano) will pass on the baton of malignant magic or dark form of sorcery to her niece named Guia (Janella Salvador).
Given that this is his first time to star in a horror film, McCoy told us that it was very challenging to act out his character in the film. He confessed that until now, he has never experienced any extremely horrific moment in real life. Thus, the challenge for him was to really think about scary things and watch the most spine-chilling films, so he could act very scared for his character. Although he is paired with Janella, McCoy revealed that the film focused more on the horror theme and there were not much ‘kilig’ scenes. He portrays the character named Renz, Guia’s dependable friend who is ready to protect her anytime.
When asked about how his experience was in working with the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano, McCoy admits being so nervous and happy at the same time. Although he thinks that what all the nervousness that he felt translated in their actual scenes on the film, he described how fulfilling it was to work with one of the most revered actresses in the local entertainment industry.
