With so many celebrities sharing the same last names, not to mention it is normal for a whole family to be part of the industry, it is not so far fetched to assume that one artist is related to another. But which assumptions are actually true, and which are false? In this Entertainment.ABS-CBN.com exclusive, your favorite Kapamilya stars finally settled the score!
Janella Salvador was often asked whether she is related to Maja Salvador. Turns out, The Killer Bride co-stars are actually niece and aunt. Although, Janella can’t remember their connection. “Ayaw niyang tinatawag ko siyang tita. So, ate na lang,” the Kapamilya singer revealed.
Another aunt-niece pair is Heaven Peralejo and Rica Peralejo. According to the Pamilya Ko actress, her mom and Rica are cousins. Former actress, singer and TV host Rica Peralejo shot to fame as a child star in Ang TV and as one of the most sought-after daring stars in the early 2000.
Donny Pangilinan might be related to Michael Pangilinan. They previously talked about possibly being family. Apparently, both of their hometowns are Pampanga. “I actually don’t know. We might be. There’s a chance,” the “James and Pat and Dave” star said. They will have to double check the family tree.
Seth Fedelin and Daniel Padilla have different last names, but many fans have pointed out a resemblance between the two. The Gold Squad member could not help but laugh at this assumption. Seth calls the King Of Hearts, Kuya DJ, but they are definitely not related.
Miles Ocampo and Diether Ocampo previously worked together. So, the young actress can confirm that they are not related. The same goes for Joshua Garcia and Patrick Garcia, Jane de Leon and Christopher de Leon, Kyle Verzosa and Gardo Verzosa, as well as Yen Santos and Charo Santos.
Now that these assumptions have finally been settled, are there any other Kapamilya celebrities who you think might be family in real life?
