Daniel Padilla spent the past eight years mostly with love team partner and girlfriend, Kathryn Bernardo by his side. So, when Kathryn filmed the blockbuster movie “Hello, Love, Goodbye” in Hong Kong, Daniel admittedly had a difficult time coping with Kathryn’s month-long absence. While he was secured with his beloved’s loyalty, Daniel just found it strange to go on a day without Kathryn around. The aching sense of longing eventually led to dark times. The King of Hearts confessed that there were times when he couldn’t do anything but cry and pour out the sadness. Fortunately, they managed to emerge stronger after that challenging phase.
Daniel revealed that “Hello, Love, Goodbye” was originally conceptualized as a KathNiel movie. But they both decided to explore their individualities as actors after the huge success of the romantic film, “The Hows of Us”. Their temporary on-screen breakup entailed a long process of adjustment and courage from the both of them.
According to Daniel, he never felt threatened when Alden Richards took the spot he used to fill in for the past eight years, as Kathryn’s leading man. Jealousy is not part of his vocabulary, either. He simply put his trust on Kathryn and the people who orchestrated the ground-breaking team-up.
Daniel doesn’t play games in love, thus, envisioning Kathryn as his future wife. But he clarified that they still have a long way to go before settling down. The Kapamilya actor wants to save up as much as he could before getting married in order to enjoy his time with his future kids. “Karma,” Daniel uttered when asked how he says ‘no’ to temptation.
Daniel enticed fans and audiences to watch out for KathNiel’s comeback teleserye in 2020.
