For the second day of Umagang Kay Ganda’s Love Month special wherein they feature a celebrity couple every day to share the recipe of their favorite food, they invited Pinoy Big Brother Season 1 Big Winner Jennivev “Nene” Tamayo and her husband Anthony Plamio, who presented their rendition of the unique yet mouthwatering “Insarabasab”.
Although none of them hails from the Ilocandia, since that is a native Ilocano cuisine, Insarabasab became their comfort food when she tried to cook it after doing her research on other ways of cooking liempo or pork belly, to which he is so fond of.
While she was demonstrating how to prepare it, host Winnie Cordero proceeded on asking them about their married life, to which Nene retorted that it is not perfect yet they are happy, pointing out her husband’s high sense of humor as one of the reasons why she is so grateful that she ended up with him.
In spite being known for her “kumander” moniker since her PBB days, they denied that she is the one who dominates their household. As what Nene relayed, “Sharing naman kami. Lagi kaming nagko-consult sa isa’t isa.”
They’re already on the 13th year of their marriage and are currently hands-on parents to their unico hijo Zane Antonio, who they proudly introduced to the UKG hosts and the viewers.
Going through her Instagram account, it’s not hard to tell how tightly bonded their family is. As parents, they make sure to show their all-out support to their son, who’s now 11 years old and a bike enthusiast, and make their presence felt in his every milestone, endeavor, and hobby.
Despite being busy with her food business and other activities, she seemed to never forget allotting a portion of her time to him and reminds others parents to avoid breaking their promises to their children through a recent IG post.
She wrote in the caption, “It is very important that you keep every promise you have made to your child. By keeping your word, you will teach your child to keep his word and honor what he says when he grows up. Before you break your promise, give the thought a lot of consideration. Weigh what it would mean to your child and how you can make it up to him. Remember, making a promise to your child is serious business.”
Indeed, Nene and Anthony are doing a great job in raising their adorable “teddy bear”, Antonio!
