There’s an oft-quoted adage that says, “looks can be deceiving”. Well, this speaks true to promising actress Ingrid Dela Paz, who has bewitched us with her innocent façade not only as Emma Villadolid in Tubig At Langis, but also in the other characters she portrayed throughout her seven years in the local entertainment scene.

However, not all of us probably know that she can also be sultry and fierce in real life whenever she wants, as she could also “flex” her sexy and fit body with sheer confidence off-cam, just like what the photos of her in this gallery suggest.

But little we did know that it took her a lot of hardwork before he was able to achieve the body she possesses right now. In one of her Instagram posts, she disclosed that she used to take her figure for granted until being plump made her depressed. Gratefully, her then-boyfriend and now husband Ken Hanaoka, who’s a bodybuilder, was there to guide her along the way towards fitness.

“Hindi ko alam napabayaan ko na pala sarili ko dati. Ang sarap kasi kumain at uminom, realtalk. Lagi ko sinasabi na gusto ko enjoyin, minsan lang ang buhay [so] bakit ko papahirapan sarili ko at magda-diet ako. Pero aminin natin, nakaka-depress ‘pag hindi mo na masuot mga dati mong damit at kahit anong anggulo gawin ko mataba ako sa picture, kahit pa selfie yan [edited in part],” she wrote.

Then she added, “No regrets sobrang happy ko sa outcome. Ayoko na ibalik sa dati. Mahirap oo, pero ‘pag nakikita mo na difference, mas gugustihin mo pang pag-igihan. Kahit maliit na progress, it's still progress.”

Certainly, Ingrid doesn’t only delight us with her sexy photos, but she can also inspire us to take good care of our bodies and do everything that could make us feel good about ourselves.
