In the year 2018, Yeng Constantino was asked by veteran host Boy Abunda her greatest wish, and that simple desire continues to be a reality to this day.
In this throwback video from Tonight with Boy Abunda, Yeng faced the golden mirror and talked to her reflection. She said God has put her in the industry for a purpose, and she reminded herself “huwag mong i-lose ang core mo dahil diyan ka minahal ng mga tao.”
Asked to choose a song that will describe her life, Yeng belted out her single “Kulang” which speaks of being comfortable with her own skin. Then, for her prayer, Yeng hoped she’ll never forget that she’s not alone, “Palagi ka lang maging masaya at saka huwag mong kalimutan na hindi ka nag-iisa sa journey mo. Kasama mo lagi si Lord.”
The Pop Rock Royalty also shared that her biggest wish is to “stay in this industry and write and inspire people more through my music.”
Yeng got her golden ticket to showbiz via reality-based talent search Pinoy Dream Academy where she emerged as the grand winner in 2006. Besides all kinds of feels about love, Yeng also writes inspiring songs about faith and dreams. Catch more of her as a hurado in Tawag Tanghalan on It’s Showtime.
