Coleen Garcia is back on the big screen! She plays the titular role in “Mia”, a movie she jokingly describes as ‘suitable for minors’ contrary to the sexy films she did in the past like the erotic-thriller “Sin Island”, the last movie she did before going on a showbiz hiatus.
In her almost two years of absence, Coleen spent more time traveling. She was not only able to explore the world but also discover opportunities that brought her out of her comfort zone and meet people who taught her a lot. In that span of time, Coleen had an important realization about her career path. The Kapamilya actress admits that she never imagined herself doing showbiz but the time off made her miss the industry, especially the movies.
Sharing how she spent the New Year’s Eve, Coleen says she tagged along with husband, Billy Crawford in the ABS-CBN “2020 Rising” Countdown in Taguig, wishing to welcome 2020 together. But since Billy was one of the performers on-stage, Coleen was left in the audience alongside good friend, Sam Concepcion. A few moments before the countdown begins, Coleen was watching Billy panic and run fast towards her. She finds the scene hilarious but perhaps it could also be a sign that they’re going to spend the rest of the year having fun together.
Coleen denies a netizen’s assumption that she isn’t happy and fulfilled with her life as Mrs. Crawford. Her husband bluntly slammed the basher on Instagram yet Coleen doesn’t feel the need to react on such comments anymore. She thinks the speculation was only triggered by her long showbiz break. Coleen adds that Billy only proved how protective and faithful he is especially for his loved ones’ sake.
To cap off the interview, Coleen takes on the TWBA Fast Talk Challenge. She describes 2020 as the year of hope and says God is her conscience. She misses her hosting stint in the noontime show, It’s Showtime. Coleen boldly answers sexy questions from the segment, including her nickname for Billy’s private part, forcing her husband to walk out from the audience.
Coleen invites everyone named “Mia” to join the movie’s free screening on January 13, the National Mia Day.
