Rising leading man Tony Labrusca takes on TWBA’s Legit or Lie Challenge where he reveals interesting facts about himself. He raises his Legit board when asked whether he has an anger management problem like what he allegedly displayed in a viral airport incident.
In January this year, netizens were outraged upon knowing that Tony shouted at an immigration officer in NAIA due to matters concerning his stay in the country. Tony humbly admitted his fault and released a statement bearing his apology.
In this interview, Tony admits that he grew up suffering from an anger issue rooted form feelings of being unheard. He doesn’t want to blame his family about it but he reveals there were times when no one seemed to listen to his sentiments. This made him become an emotional person full of angst. Tony had to consult a life coach and a medical expert regarding this condition.
Looking back on the airport incident, Tony learned a lot about humanity, humility, and the showbiz industry. Despite the bashing he got, Tony does not want to complain any more as he knows that being in the limelight is something he has signed up for. At the moment, Tony has already ironed out his documents recognizing him as a Filipino citizen.
Tony also talks about his relationship with his father, actor Boom Labrusca, whom he did not grow up with. Tony says they are in good terms now as he has made a conscious decision to forgive Boom from all his shortcomings and accept him in his life. In fact, Boom was beside Tony when the latter was going through the airport issue.
Another fun fact about Tony is that he used to work as a cashier in Canada and even had Kathryn Bernardo as his customer. Two years later, Tony served as Kathryn’s co-star in the series La Luna Sangre.
