On TWBA, Ria Atayde, Fifth Solomon, and Mela Habijan talk about their iWant original series “Manilennial” and shared their stand on the biggest misconceptions about today’s youth. Fifth cries foul on the allegations that millennials are entitled. He would rather go for the words ‘brave’ and ‘risk-takers’ to describe their generation.
“We are in a generation in which there are a lot of options and we want to try them that’s why that the bravery and capacity to take risks are there,” Mela asserts in defense of the millennials criticized for having vague directions in life. Meanwhile, Ria denies the assumption that millennials are incapable of finishing what they start, adding that the youth simply belongs in the age of fully discovering themselves.
In “Manilennial,” Fifth plays Kiko, a millennial who is still in the process of knowing his career path. Ria gives life to Missy, a social media savvy and aspiring lawyer while Mela will take on the role of Ruth, a transgender woman with a catering business.
The three artists take on the TWBA Acting Challenge where they pretend as millennials confronting a restaurant manager.
Fifth, Ria and Mela also clarify the controversies involving them. Fifth denies that he is ‘using’ Alex Gonzaga or their friendship. He calls Alex his happy pill who not only makes him laugh but also enlightens him with wisdom.
Ria debunks rumors that Enchong Dee was the reason why JM De Guzman stopped courting her, saying Enchong is just her best friend.
Meanwhile, Mela confirms that she once had a relationship with an international model who she met at an online dating site. Talking more about her love life, Mela reveals that she fell in love with an indie actor but her feelings weren’t reciprocated. Nevertheless, the one-sided relationship taught her how to be patient with love.
Taking on the Fast Talk Challenge, the three argue on who among them is the most beautiful. “Si Ria talaga pero lalaban ako,” quips Mela.
Fifth and Mela are cool with the idea of kissing on the first date while Ria isn’t. The three are open to online dating.
