Jake takes the TWBA hot seat to talk about his drama on Kapamilya Gold, Precious Hearts Romances: Los Bastardos, and his budding career in the world of theatre acting.
On talks of his first-ever theatre acting gig, Jake tells us more about his play, “Lungs”, which is a 90-minute dialogue stage play featuring only two people on stage and presents a story about relationships and beliefs—“something millennials would very much relate to”, as quoted by the actor. Jake also proudly states that their show has been extended due to its success and invites everyone to watch and witness his first stage play.
Afterwards, Jake shares about his teleserye, Precious Hearts Romances: Los Bastardos, and tells how happy is not to be type casted in any role, allowing him to do different things and expresses his gratitude to the many people who trusts in his acting capacity.
To showcase this, Tito Boy asks Jake to perform his famous line from his upcoming drama in different feelings and character personalities. His character, Isagani, says: “Masasagot na ang lahat ng tanong sa pagkatao ko.”—and Jake is challenged to say it as someone being pursued by a serial killer, as a preschool teacher talking to a child, and as someone proposing to his girlfriend. Jake once again proves his skills in the art, impressing the King of Talk and tonight’s audience members.
Apart from being known for his acting skills, Jake is also known to have several tattoos on his body. When asked about it, the actor explains that his tattoos are like ‘souvenirs’ and represent special moments in his life. Jake also admits that he has a name of an ex-girlfriend tattooed on him and reveals it to be actress, Roxanne Guinoo. He also tells that both of them have tattoos of their names on each other and made a promise never to have it removed until they’re married. However, Roxanne, having been married and started a family in recent years, already had hers removed.
