As a talent manager, Ogie Diaz makes sure to teach his stars the importance of saving and choosing the right kind of investment. For instance, he required Liza Soberano, one of his most popular talents, to acquire a house of her own, condominium unit, and a car before jumping into a serious relationship. He also influenced Vice Ganda to obtain a house and lot, so the Unkabogable Star would at least have a fallback in case he runs out of showbiz projects. Ogie uses buy and selling business as means of saving and growing his money.
Ogie feels nothing but pure happiness seeing Vice finally in a blissful state with It’s Showtime’s Ion Perez. Ogie is a witness to Ion’s sincerity towards Vice, adding that Ion sees the host beyond the fame and superstar status. Ogie quotes Ion saying, “Hindi ko minahal si Vice Ganda. Minahal ko si Tutoy (Vice’s nickname).” Ogie is urging the Unkabogable Star to have a child; and even Vice’s friends are excited about it.
Ogie is openly gay but this does not hinder him from being a responsible family man to his wife, Georgette and their children. He never tried to conceal his sexuality from his kids but he also didn’t feel the need to explain himself since he’s always been physically present for them. This image of a homosexual is also explored in the film “Two Love You” which Ogie produced. “Minsan mas barako pa sa barako ang mga bakla pagdating sa responsibilidad,” Ogie describes the movie. He also dreams of trying his hands on film directing.
