At the age of 45, Ian Veneracion remains one of the most desired men in Philippine Showbiz. “That’s very flattering but I wonder why”, the actor said when teased about being every girl’s dream man. Tito Boy was quick to note Ian’s good qualities such as his handsome face and kind-hearted nature.
But despite the attention and praises he gets, Ian has his own share of insecurities as well. For one, he reveals feeling conscious for not having broad shoulders. He recounts meeting an accident in one of his motocross activities that developed into a problem in the clavicle, or the collarbone, resulting to a drooping left shoulder. The incident made his insecurities that time.
Although, Ian is still professional enough to bare his topless body when required in a TV or movie scene but he never had the courage to flaunt it in a cover boy type of a pictorial.
Ian also admits not having a pack of well-sculpted abs. “Mayroon akong abs kaya lang napapatungan siya ng layer of bacon. You have to dig deep to find my abs,” he said in jest. The last item on his list of insecurities is his inability to produce the “R” sound.
Ian has a lot of offerings for his fans, starting off with his solo concert entitled “Ian in Color” on July 11 and July 12. The show is produce by Ogie Alcasid. The actor has nothing but good words for Ogie and wife Regine Velasquez who are always been supportive of other artists especially the newbies in the music industry. Ian and Tito Boy gave their own rendition of Ogie’s classic hit “Nandito Ako”.
Apart from that, Ian is also filming a movie called “Block Z,” an action-packed film about a zombie apocalypse. Still in his TWBA guesting, Ian demonstrated how to fight against a zombie. He opted for an axe as a weapon, simply because it won’t run out of bullets unlike a gun. “Block Z” is also starring Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto.
