Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha greets the viewers with a powerful rendition of “Climb Every Mountain,” the song she delivered on a trending vocal clash with Regine Velasquez and ZsaZsa Padilla on ASAP Natin ‘To last Sunday, March 8. Lani describes the phenomenal number and their reunion as a wonderful experience. “After a long while, kahapon lang ulit kami nagkasama and I’m really happy that I get to see ‘Kumareng’ Regine because the last time I saw her was 2018 from our TV show. I think this is also the first time na nagkasama kaming tatlo,” the timeless diva relates.
Lani admits that there are times when she feels uncomfortable sharing the stage with her other contemporaries because of their capacities as singers. But she rather not mention names and not use the word ‘threatened’.
Meanwhile, Lani is asked to give a piece of advice to singers Sarah Geronimo - Guidicelli and Morisette Amon, her huge fans who are both going through controversies on their romantic lives. “I guess the best tool would be prayers. Honestly, I guess it’s the only thing you could do, to pray for the situation that’s going on in your family, pray for yourself, for guidance and strength to widen your understanding,” says Lani. And as a mother, she gives emphasis on compassion towards one’s parents. Kahit anong mangyari, magulang mo ‘yan. Kahit anong mangyari, magkalayo kayo ng path o hindi kayo magkaintindihan, they will always be your parents.
Lani’s newest single “I Can’t Give Anymore” is now out on digital music platforms. “When you are in a relationship, you give everything to the person you love but somehow that love is not being compensated,” she talks about the meaning behind the song. Boy Abunda notes how the diva imparts true painful emotions through her songs despite being happily married. “I just really have to understand the story and internalize it as if it happened to me,” Lani shares.
