It’s Showtime’s first ever ultimate Bidaman winner, Jin Macapagal, appeared on Tonight With Boy Abunda for the first time since the competition last Friday, August 16. He shared that bonding with his fellow Bidaman contestants was the most memorable thing during the contest.
“I was rooting for everyone,” he said, revealing that it didn’t even feel like a competition since they were all friends. He only felt pressure when it was nearing the Grand Finals and vowed to himself that he’ll give his best since it’s still a competition. Boy Abunda challenged Jin to showcase his dancing, singing and acting skills to know what he’s the best at doing. He shared that he has always wanted to enter the showbiz industry and he has joined multiple dance competitions growing up.
Jin graduated with a major in Physical Therapy from Cebu Doctor’s University. Unfortunately, he hasn’t taken the board exam to be a licensed Physical Therapist since he had to immediately move to America after he was petitioned by his mom. “Ayokong sayangin ‘yung pagkakataon,” he said, adding he will prioritize and focus first on his blooming career before he decides if he’ll take the board exam in the future. Unknown to some, Jin was actually a Stretch Therapist in America. According to him, they offer this kind of therapy to gym goers to improve their range of motion and to help slightly older men relax their bodies. Jin even demonstrated some of the things he did as Stretch Therapist to Tito Boy.
“Ang gusto ko lang po talaga is to bring my mom here for good,” he said, revealing that his mom is a caregiver in America and he wants nothing but to have her here permanently. Unfortunately, his mom wasn’t able to watch the Grand Finals live since she had to go back to her job but she had the chance to visit and to see his journey in BidaMan. “’Yun ‘yung naging push ko at motivation to give it my all,” he shared, saying that his mom is also one of the reasons why he wanted to win the competition. After the Bidaman Grand Finals, his mom surprised him and flew back to the Philippines to be with him. “I am the man that I am today because of my mom,” he said.
Jin stressed that he wants to prove his worth in the industry. One of the prizes that he won in BidaMan is to be included in Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis’ MMFF entry this year.
Mayroong nagmamay-ari ng puso ko,” he revealed that he’s been in a relationship with a speech therapist for six years now. “My career for our future,” he said, emphasizing that he’ll prioritize his career only because he wants to save up for their future.
Jin played TWBA’s Fast Talk. He denied that he has ghosted someone before. Kathryn Bernardo is the clear winner of Jin’s heart over Liza Soberano and Nadine Lustre. He then disclosed that Eris Aragoza was his greatest rival during the BidaMan competition. He shared that he has received several indecent proposals from fans but he doesn’t reply to any of them. He revealed that Denise Laurel is the sexiest woman in the Philippines for him. He chose chocolates over sex. “Bago matulog,” Jin said that the best time for sex is a few hours before bedtime.
