Weeks after winning the highly coveted rights to representing the Philippines in the 2019 Miss Universe pageant, Gazini Ganados is still on cloud nine. “It’s very overwhelming. Sometimes, natutulala na lang ako and I ask myself kung totoo ba ito,” the newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2019 relates. She admits hoping and praying hard to win the title.
While there are supporters who do not have even a pinch of doubt over Gazini’s capabilities, there are also detractors who say Gazini failed to give an excellent answer in the Binibining Pilipinas 2019 Q and A round.
“I appreciate the criticism and I know there are still so much to learn and improve within myself. The first step is accepting it,” Gazini’s reaction to her bashers’ claims. Although, Gazini finds it offensive when the critics go over the belt, adding that she desires for everyone’s unity as her battle in Miss Universe is not for her personal gains but for the Philippine’s pride rather.
Others also try to bring her down by making nasty remarks about her physical attributes, saying she’s not beautiful enough without make-up. To prove the bashers wrong, Gazini boldly removes her make-up on national television. Even without the presence of cosmetics on her face, Gazini still looked queenly from all angles.
To end the interview, Gazini takes on the Fast Talk Challenge. She reveals the last time she got her heart broken was two years ago when her Lola died. She would choose the Miss Universe crown over one billion pesos. If she accidentally trips in the middle of the Miss Universe pageant, Gazini would simply rise up resiliently.
Gazini picks Kapamilya actor Xian Lim as the sexiest man in the Philippines and she says success tastes like wine. “I am Gazini Ganados and I am your fifth Ms. Universe,” she confidently declares.
