In the current millennial era plenty of ‘hugot’, folk-pop band Ben and Ben’s kind of music surely won the hearts of the young listeners. Ben and Ben, led by twin siblings Miguel and Paolo, is the perfect balance of sentimentality and freshness.
In fact, their songs are constantly used as original soundtrack to romantic-drama films. Fans can look forward to Ben and Ben’s newest upcoming project as they marry the touching effect of movies with their equally-moving songwriting skills.
The group is set to become part of the film “LSS” starring Khalil Ramos and Gabbi Garcia. The storyline of “LSS” revolves around a couple who shares the same love for Ben and Ben. Aside from giving the audiences a quick romantic trip, “LSS” also aims to provide the viewers a good appreciation of the local music scene. The movie is an official entry to the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino happening on September.
Another exciting item on Ben and Ben’s plate is their debut album slated for release next month. The album is entitled “Limawasa Street” taken from the Butuan word “masawa” which means light. The band is both grateful and in awe that the album has already been sold-out for pre-orders. But this isn’t a reason to fret as the nationwide selling of the album will re-open soon in May.
In their guesting in TWBA, Ben and Ben serenaded the audience with their carrier single “Mitsa” which is a sad song that revolves around honesty, transparency, and self-love.
Ben and Ben is having a show on May 26 in Orchard Road, Singapore together with KZ Tandinga, Darren Espanto, and Jayda Avanzado.
