On the December 9 episode, Boy Abunda unleashed his emotions on the passing of his beloved mother last December 1.
“Always make your Nanay proud,” said the King of Talk’s mantra in life. Since the melancholic event, Tito Boy continued paying honor to his mom by giving his best in his profession. His voice cracked a little while talking about the people who gave him comfort amidst the loss especially his siblings who he mentioned one by one. Tito Boy also thanked his partner, Bong Quintana for making time for him despite the workload as well as the ABS-CBN management and bosses. The veteran host completely turned emotional when he mentioned his niece, Lani, and expressed his love for her. His mother’s passing made Tito Boy even more drawn to the value of relationships and family. The airtime wasn’t enough to enumerate the names who showered him and his family with love but Tito Boy promised to soon dedicate an entire segment thanking everyone.
The King of Talk then introduced his guest, Home Sweetie Home Extra Sweet star Miles Ocampo who emanated a deep sense of gratitude all throughout the interview. Miles reflected on finally bagging her first lead role after long years of being just on the side lines via MMFF 2019 entry “Write about Love” where she portrays the character of a neophyte writer. The movie also stars Rocco Nacino, Joem Bascon, and Yeng Constantino. “Ang sarap sa feeling!”, said Miles on finally graduating from minor roles.
Miles also clarified the rumors romantically linking her with McCoy de Leon. She confirmed that McCoy indeed tried to pursue her but she is not yet ready for a serious relationship. The two remain friends. Although, their connection was quite toned down after the rejection.
Tito Boy ended the episode expressing sympathy for the family of actor Mico Palanca who died on that same day. Mico last appeared in the Kapamilya morning series Nang Ngumiti ang Langit.
