The ‘secret’ wedding of Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli remains a hot topic in showbiz and on the online world. Matteo released an official statement through his Instagram account confirming the wedding but also denying the allegation that he hit Sarah’s bodyguard, Jerry Tamara, during the event. Further, the newlywed husband expressed gratitude to all those who continue to shower them with love and support. Amid the issues surrounding their relationship, Matteo is full of hope that everything will get better soon. “In time, and with God’s grace and love, everything will heal and fall into place. We are happy. We are blessed. And we are husband and wife! Let’s always celebrate life and love”, said a portion of Matteo’s lengthy message.
Matteo’s sister, Giorgia also took to Instagram to formally welcome Sarah to the Guidicelli family. “One week ago today, I gained a real-life sister. Welcome to the family, Mrs. Guidicelli. We love you,” she wrote as caption to a photo of her and Sarah.
The newlywed couple was spotted on February 26 shopping items for their new home.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Guidicelli herself remained elusive when asked for a reaction to her husband’s public declaration. All she uttered was a quick “Salamat” coupled with her trademark sweet smile.
Boy Abunda commented on the topic, saying he understands why Sarah opts to keep mum about her marriage and the controversies surrounding it. “You’re healing. You are in a very precarious and sensitive situation. The less you talk the better. Ang dasal natin ay sana maayos lahat ng mga problema na kailangang ayusin and I appreciate your prudence, Sarah. The less you talk the better, para hindi na madagdagan ang sakit at mas mabilis ang healing at pag-aayos ng pamilya”.
“But I also want to remind Sarah that you have to understand why people are so interested. It is coming from a place of love. They love you. We love you. We want to know that you’re happy. We want to know that you’re well. We want to know that everything is okay,” he added.
On other news, Star Cinema has officially announced the young actresses to topbill “Four Sisters before the Wedding”, a prequel to the hit 2013 family movie “Four Sisters and a Wedding”. The iconic Salazar sisters will be back on the big screen a decade younger. Alexa Ilacad will play as Bobbie, Charlie Dizon as Teddy, Gillian Vicencio as Alex, and Belle Mariano as Gabbie.
