In their film “I’m Drunk, I Love You,” Paulo Avelino and Maja Salvador played best friends. One of them has been secretly in love with the other for years. And when feelings are bottled up, one would resort to ‘ma-boteng usapan’ as well.
In real life, Paulo and Maja have different takes on relationships and dealing with breakups. She said she’s the type that moves on easily. The ‘Majasty’ will never ever beg for love and she knows how to prepare her heart if the relationship is already headed to split-up.
“Kunwari, sa isang relationship, or kahit hindi relationship, doon mismo hinahanda ko na kaagad, eh kahit hindi pa kayo hiwalay. Kapag nararamdaman mo na may mali nang nangyayari, nando’n ka pa sa gusto mong i-work out, eh, gusto mong mag-adjust pa kasi baka ma-save mo pa. Pero kapag nakikita mong wala na, hindi naman ako yung magbe-beg na,” she said.
Veteran host Boy Abunda realized people are diverse. We have different attitude about the same things. He said he’s the type that begs, unlike Maja. “Iba’t iba ang ating atake. Ako, makikipaghabulan, makikiusap. That’s not to say it’s right and that’s not to say you’re wrong, gan’on lang talaga tayo,” he explained.
Paulo and Maja also behave differently when drunk. She’s the overly dramatic and chatty type. “Naranasan ko na ‘yung, noong Star Magic Ball, umiiyak lang ako nang umiiyak. Tapos mas dumadaldal ako, may English ako kaunti,” shared Maja.
Paulo, on the other hand, is quiet when drunk. He’s that one ‘kainuman’ who loves to listen and observe. “Relax lang, tapos tahimik, tapos tulog. Minsan masarap makinig, eh, observe. Tapos minsan they’d do something funny or stupid, nakakatawa,” he added.
Maja also named Paulo, apart from Jericho Rosales, as her favorite leading man. For him, it’s an honor to be called as such since Maja is also one of the actresses he’s comfortable working with.
