Recently evicted Pinoy Big Brother Otso housemate Banjo Dangalan is dubbed as the “Funny Fighter ng Quezon City”. The moniker stems from his habit of showing off his hilarious dance moves after each win in an MMA fight. Banjo is a martial arts fighter before he earned a spot in Pinoy Big Brother Otso and Muay Thai is his major discipline.
Banjo has gone controversial for being the latest housemate to be sanctioned with a forced eviction due to his offensive behavior towards female housemates and blurting out rape jokes.
In his Tonight With Boy Abunda guesting, Banjo shared the most important lessons he learned from the controversies. “Huwag po munang magbibitaw ng jokes hangga’t hindi mo pa kilala ‘yung mga taong nasa harapan mo”, he said.
Banjo humbly owns up to his wrongdoings and he even thanked the bashers for opening his eyes and allowing him to see all the mistakes he’s done. Nonetheless, he asked for another chance to prove himself and show that he really isn’t the bad guy everyone perceives him to be.
“Thank you kasi kung hindi dahil sa inyo, ‘di ko po maiintidihan lahat ng pagkakamamli ko. Sana po bigyan n’yo po ako ng pagkaakataon na patunayan ang sarili ko, at wala po talaga akong masamang intensyon. Sorry po talaga”, Banjo’s sincere message to those he offended from his nasty jokes while inside Bahay ni Kuya.
As a first-timer in the TWBA hot seat, Banjo was asked to take on the Fast Talk Challenge. He said one of his biggest dreams is to have his own house in Bicol. His ex-girlfriend was the last woman who made him cry. He mentioned Kiara Takahashi as the housemate most deserving of the Big Winner title and the last girl who made him ‘kilig’.
“Ako si Banjo and I am a fighter, not a lover”, Banjo’s closing statement.
