Sid Lucero describes his old self as a ‘self-centered’ person. He says the pour of blessings and his commendable works as an actor got to his head. But all these changed for the better when he became a dad to daughter, Halo. The changes were not enforced, rather he just naturally found himself falling in love with fatherhood. Sid is a ‘girl dad’ who loves driving Halo to her ballet classes, not just because it is his duty but also because he likes watching her.
The talented actor is seen in primetime via A Soldier’s Heart where he portrays the role of Saal aka Abdul Waajid, a terror group leader. He considers the show as one of the most challenging projects under his belt. For one, it boldly tackles a sensitive topic on armed conflict. But on the other hand, Sid proudly calls the teleserye an eye-opener especially to the younger generations. He adds that A Soldier’s Heart is a reminder that personal differences do not diminish the fact that we are all brothers and sisters.
Adding more to the challenge was growing his beard for the show to create a compelling character. He admits that it was not an easy sacrifice on his part as it somehow boxed him to limited projects. So, he jokingly told his mom to provide for the family on his behalf. Sid invites everyone to support A Soldier’s Heart as it provides awareness on important socio-political issues.
Sid takes on the Fast Talk Challenge to mark his first TWBA hot-seat interview. He reveals dating Heart Evangelista in the past and hints that he’s not in good terms with ex-girlfriend Alessandra de Rossi. One thing he can’t get enough of Halo is her talent. “Temper”, his response when asked about the trait he got from his Dad, Mark Gil. Sid hopes that girlfriend Annicka Dolonius is the one he’d marry.
