Regine Velasquez started her singing career at a young age. That time, she still didn’t have an entourage to attend to her every need. Yet, Regine knew she had to take care of herself in order to look pleasing in her every performance.
She decided to learn doing her own make-up and until now, her glam looks are all courtesy of her own hands. She styles herself not just during her on-stage performances but in movies, album photoshoots and other events as well. She dresses herself from head to toe.
The Asia’s Songbird shares she loves watching make-up artists do their works. Her favorite is Fanny Serrano because the well-known make-up guru is accommodating and was pleased by Regine’s willingness to learn about the craft. She also used to style her own hair especially those times when it was shorter in length.
In an interview with the King Of Talk, Regine looks back on several photos where she did her own make-up, including her remarkable look in the movie “Wanted: Perfect Mother” where she sported a rocker vibe.
Tito Boy shows one of Regine’s album cover photos that is bit daring. The Songbird shares being accused of undergoing breast enhancement when the image was released. Blessed not just with talent but with sense of humor as well, Regine exclaims, “’Di nila alam katakot-takot na tape ang nilagay para lumabas [ang cleavage]”.
