Thespians Rachel Alejandro and Raymond Bagatsing graced the set of TWBA looking ageless and every inch happy. They looked back on a throwback photo taken during their younger years and everyone in the audience noticed that nothing much has changed in their physical appearance.
“I’m a vampire. I’m an immortal,” Raymond’s reaction to his photo. Well, everyone would agree so. But, Raymond admits his young-looking aura is neither a product of science nor just achieved without efforts; rather, he has worked hard for it.
Vegetarian diet, consistent trainings in the gym, and yoga are among Raymond’s secrets to looking young. “I’ve been a yoga practitioner daily,” reveals Raymond who is dubbed as a ‘thirst-trap Tito’ by his followers.
Yet, the blazing fondness for anything fitness-related is not just about honing his physical attributes but his holistic wellness most especially. The handsome yogi says being active equates to becoming more present in the moment; hence, feelings of positivity and vigor. “It keeps you from thinking too much which may just lead to sadness and depression.”
Raymond displays his yoga expertise by demonstrating a proper meditation technique. He asks Boy Abunda and Rachel to sit in a lotus pose and practice the chant, which, according to him, brings the mind into its center. “Kasi ang buhay ng mind is just about the past and the future. So, hindi nakakapag-focus sa now. You feel silly and sound silly but it’s fun,” Raymond relates.
Rachel, on the other hand, admits she isn’t too in love with the gym but she still works out for obligation’s sake. “I go to the gym but I don’t enjoy it. Mula noong nag-umpisa ako, I was doing it just for work”, relates Rachel whose first work out habit was simply influenced by a musical play that required her to climb towering scaffoldings.
