When people think of the most common factor among actresses like Cherry Pie Picache, Cherie Gil, Mylene Dizon, Agot Isidro, and Angelica Panganiban, the first thing that comes to mind, perhaps, is their on-screen “kontrabida” persona. So, it is no surprising that this bunch of friends named their group as “Kontrabida Package”
The group has been friends for years and they’ve long been dreaming of doing a project together. This wish is about to come true via an upcoming iWant original series entitled “Call Me Tita”.
In Cherie Gil’s social media account, the Primera Kontrabida boldly warned her followers to stop calling her Tita. Cherry Pie admits she and the rest of the “Kontrabida Package” share the same sentiments as well. It just happened that Cherie was the first one to articulate the idea.
But, Cherry Pie says the digital project “Call Me Tita” is meant to accept and celebrate a woman’s Titahood. Still in the TWBA hot seat interview, Cherry Pie describes her “Kontrabida Package” friends. She picks Mylene and Agot as the sexiest among them, Angelica as the wealthiest, and still Mylene as the most mataray. The group continues to adopt more members and they have even included young actor Nash Aguas in their clique.
Apart from “Call Me Tita”, Cherry Pie has another project called “Radical Love”, a documentary piece that talks about her journey to complete forgiveness and healing. In the said short film, Cherry Pies shares how she managed to seek forgiving justice for her mother’s death. Radical Love is airing on July 7, in ABS-CBN Sunday’s Best.
