Seated on the TWBA hot seat in 2019, Cherry Pie Picache declared that she’s very much ready to open up her heart again, that is after a decade of being single. Fast forward to 2021, love made it happened as the Kapamilya actress gets into an official relationship with her Marry Me, Marry You co-star Edu Manzano.
In the said interview, Cherry Pie talked about the ‘empty nest syndrome’ as son Nio Tria studied abroad for college. At the moment, Nio is also in showbiz as a member of The Squad Plus, and is starring in the iQiyi series “Saying Goodbye” with Andrea Brillantes, Seth Fedelin, Kobie Brown, and Andi Abaya.
Cherry Pie then mentioned that instead of feeling bad over Nio’s independence, she’s using the time to look after herself and date again. She felt like it was the perfect time to finally open up to love. Check out how a portion of the episode called Fast Talk segment went:
When asked about her taste in men, Cherry Pie was chill yet candid, admitting that she’s very selective in guys. Further, she was courted by a lot of showbiz personalities in the past, which veteran host Boy Abunda would attest to.
She picked spicy over sweet, KathNiel over JaDine, and apple pie than buko pie. Is it Nora Aunor or Vilma Santos? She chose both.
When asked about a possible sequel for the hit series On The Wings Of Love, where she played a lesbian, Cherry Pie said she’d rather not do one.
She will never be able to forgive an act of betrayal. The last time she felt ‘kilig’ was before her Tonight With Boy Abunda interview.
Cherry Pie currently plays a loving mom in the Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino starrer Marry Me, Marry You, where her real-life beau Edu also portrays her ex-lover.
