On the December 9 episode, Boy Abunda welcomed his guest, Home Sweetie Home Extra Sweet star Miles Ocampo. The whole interview emanated a deep sense of gratitude as Miles reflected on finally bagging her first lead role after long years of being just on the side lines.
While her contemporaries like Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes were already making it big, Miles was left behind pondering on why her star still lacked shine. Yet, the struggles were never enough to knock her passion down. She has always seen herself growing old in the business, so she eyed longevity more than fame. She knew the spotlight won’t always shine upon her but she was also certain that her time will come, hence, immensely coating her dreams with patience.
The Kapamilya actress’ hard work and humility paid off as she topbills the MMFF 2019 entry “Write about Love” where she portrays the character of a neophyte writer. The movie also stars Rocco Nacino, Joem Bascon, and Yeng Constantino. “Ang sarap sa feeling!”, said Miles on finally graduating from supporting roles.
Miles also clarified the rumors romantically linking her with McCoy de Leon. In the actor’s TWBA interview aired on September 10, McCoy boldly admitted that he likes Miles and he wishes to take their friendship into the next level.

Sharing her side of the story, Miles brought up a past TWBA interview shown last year where she admitted being in constant communication with the actor. She confirmed that McCoy indeed tried to pursue her but she is not yet ready for a serious relationship. The two remain friends. Although, their connection was quite toned down after the rejection. Miles, who never had a boyfriend, shared that there are people forcibly pushing her into having one. But she is not in a hurry. Just like how she patiently waited for her career’s perfect timing, she also knows the right love would come. She mentioned Zanjoe Marudo and Sam Milby when asked about the type of men she likes.
