Former Pinoy Big Brother Otso housemates Batit Espiritu and Lou Yanong will play as Badong Magtibay and Corrine Ledesma in the upcoming stage musical “Tabing Ilog the Musical” which is based on the iconic 90’s Kapamilya teen drama.
Fans notice that Andre Brouilette isn’t part of the cast comprised mostly of PBB alumni. Lou clarifies that this isn’t a sign of the LouDre split-up. “We’re still LouDre. We’re still together, stronger than ever,” she emphasizes. Lou explains that Andre is taking on a hosting career while she is focused on performing. And their pursuit of different career paths is actually a big help in sustaining their relationship. “Sanay kami na laging magkasama. So, this time ‘pag magkahiwalay kami ng plans, ‘pag nagkikita kami may napagkukuwentuhan kami”, she says.
She further elaborates that they intentionally took a social media break to avoid people’s expectations. The couple somewhat reflected on whether they keep on fighting for each other all because of what fans see in them. But after the time away from social media, LouDre has become stronger and they realized how much they truly love each other even behind the cameras.
To end the interview, Lou answers her boyfriend’s questions with the first one asking about the favorite gift she received from him. According to Lou, apart from love and support, the best thing she received from Andre was a big leaf doodled with random thoughts about their relationship.
“’Pag kinakagat niya po ‘yung ilong ko,” reveals Lou when asked about Andre’s most annoying habit. Batit adds that Andre is fond of tickling other people as well.
On Andre’s last question, “Can you imagine life without me,” Lou’s kilig response is, “I can’t. It’s sad thinking about it”.
