Drama Queen Judy Ann Santos emphasized the value of friendship and personal space in sustaining a fulfilling married life. The Kapamilya actress never really had a serious relationship before she met husband, Ryan Agoncillo. Her romance with former love team partner Wowie De Guzman happened when they were still young; and she had co-actors who would stop wooing her once the project comes to an end.
So, how did she know that Ryan was destined to be her husband? “Noong binabali ko na yung sarili kong rules in my own profession at ‘pag nag-aaway kami, nararamdaman kong nadudurog ako”, said Judy Ann.
She considers Ryan as the voice of reason that teaches her important things in life and, as she quipped, the one who expands her vocabulary as well. She would often pick up a new word from Ryan in the middle of a serious talk or fight; and would use it later on in her interviews. “He would always be the first one to ignite me and make me realize my passion”, Judy Ann shared.
But they also have their fair share of fights and misunderstandings that almost tore them apart. Yet, her love for Ryan would always win in the end. Juday, as how friends and fans call her, looks at these challenges as tests of faith and love. In times of struggles, the loving mom of three would put the children out of the picture knowing that it would be unfair to use them as the only motivation to stick to the marriage.
Through Ryan, the Teleserye Queen learned to appreciate the beauty in silence which is far from the buzz and chaos that she grew up with. In an Instagram post tagged as #StoriesForLucho, Ryan also reminisced on how a long quiet afternoon made him realize that Judy Ann was the one for him.
Judy Ann also shared the story behind a sexy photo that Ryan randomly took and posted on Instagram. The image was taken during their trip to Japan and she was simply lying on the bed while explaining something to Ryan. “He probably sees something beautiful and he wants to show it to everyone,” expressed Judy Ann.
