Jolina Magdangal slayed the TWBA Fast Talk segment with her totally witty and riveting answers. The segment kicked off with the question, “saan ka pinaglihi?” to which Jolina replied with, “sa tainga ng baboy.”
“’Yung mommy ko, noong buntis sa akin, kinukuha niya agad ‘yung tainga ng lechon, so tumiklop na,” she narrated about her left ear’s peculiar appearance that added to her insecurities when she was young. The 42-year-old actress was born on November 6, 1978 at three in the afternoon.
The Magandang Buhay host would rather choose overflowing food and drinks than abundant material gifts on her birthday. And if throwing a party for herself, she wouldn’t waste time sending her husband’s ex-girlfriend an invite. Wishing to gift her on her special day, make sure to go for chocolate than mocha cake. Forget about the figurines, as she considers them the worst gift she’s ever received. She picks magician over clown. Her dream guest on her birthday is none other than Aga Muhlach.
Jolina wished she learned how to swim before turning 40. Given the chance to handpick a possible swimming instructor, she would go for Marvin Agustin. The Kapamilya actress confessed there was one woman she got jealous of because of Marvin. It was none other than Kristine Hermosa. On the bright side, this jealousy helped her execute an intense scene for the ‘90s film “Gimik.” Jolina recalled, “May eksenang babasagin ‘yung sasakyan tapos ‘yun ‘yung pinag-motivate sa’kin ni Direk Lauren (Dyogi).’Parang sila na yata,’ bumubulong siya sa tainga ko.”
How exactly did she feel then? “Sumisikip na ‘yung lalamunan ko tapos feeling ko mapupukpok ko na ‘yung sasakyan. Mabuti na lang noong initsa ko ‘yung tubo hindi tumama sa kanila kasi padilim na ‘yung paningin ko,” she jokingly related.
The ‘90s fashion icon declined to take a pick between Maricel Soriano and Sharon Cuneta. She would admit that she’s closer with Judy Ann Santos than Claudine Barretto.
If husband Marc Escueta is an animal creature, he would come close as a tiger. “Kasi parang tatahi-tahimik lang pero tigre kung magalit. Tapos kung matuwa, rawr din,” she explained.
“Masakit ako mangurot,” she stated when asked about her secret weapon. Based on level importance, Jolina is a mother first, then, a wife and a daughter. Asked to describe herself in a fill-in-the-blank question, Jolina called herself ‘magatas,’ adding that the ability to breastfeed is her current superpower.
