Singers Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado have been making good music together for eighteen years already. And, in that span of time, Jessa learned the value of respect and humility as important ingredients in making a relationship work. “Kung kailangan mo mag-sorry, mag-sorry ka. ‘Wag mo nang pahabain pa kasi mahal mo naman ‘yun, eh”, she said.
She admitted there was a time when the marriage almost broke apart. This is when she realized that it also takes good hard work to make a relationship last. “Hindi lang love ang kailangan”, Jessa shared.
According to Jessa, Dingdong has always been devoted to her. But, she knows when a woman is trying to lure her husband. She admits being the type of a wife who would dash off to a ‘dangerous’ woman. “Maraming beses na. Sobrang transparent at saka straight to the point kasi ako na tao. Kapag meron akong ‘di ako nagugustuhan, ‘tara usap tayo’”, she confessed.
Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, Jayda, who is now slowly making her mark in the local music scene. Jayda is being romantically linked to fellow young artist Darren Espanto. Although, Jayda already denied having a special relationship with Darren in her previous TWBA guesting. When it was Jessa’s turn to answer questions relating to her unica hija’s suitors, Jessa said she won’t entertain the idea at the moment. “Bata pa kasi si Jayda”, she justified.
Jessa is set to display her singing prowess in a musical collaboration with Richard Poon on June 8 entitled “Just Right: The Diva and The Crooner”. The concert is going to be filled with old classing songs blended by modern taste courtesy of guest artists Jayda Zaragoza and Jeremy Glinoga
