Long-time couple Jay-R and Mica Javier tied the knot in an intimate wedding in Boracay on March 1st amidst the global coronavirus case. The newlyweds relayed that the supposed civil wedding earlier in February was cancelled to ensure their family and friends’ safety. And since the outbreak, now considered pandemic, was gradually rising in the country at that time, the couple prayed hard and took all necessary preparations for their local ceremony.
Mica shared a hilarious anecdote that happened a few moments before exchanging I dos with Jay-R. “Nagsusulat ako ng vows around forty minutes before I walk down the aisle. Nakasuot na ako ng veil and everything was ready. Then, Jay-R texted me, sabi niya, ‘Tapos na ako sa vows ko, ikaw?’ So, at that time I couldn’t think of anything. Sobrang pressured ako na mag-isip kung anong sasabihin ko.”
While the bride was full of jitters, the groom was notably emotional that day. Jay-R failed to hold back the tears especially the first time he laid his eyes on his wife-to-be.
On the topic of having kids, they both agreed that they want to get to know each other deeper as husband and wife first before starting a family.
Jay-R was also asked if he ever got jealous of Josh Colet, Mica’s on-screen partner who she had intimate scenes with in Precious Hearts Romances Presents Los Bastardos. The King of R&B admitted that seeing Mica doing sexy roles with a love team was indeed a test of patience for him, “Maybe selos not because he is gwapo or masculado. But maybe because at that time mas busy si Mica with work.”
During the Fast Talk segment on TWBA, Mica mentioned Italy and Amsterdam as her dream honeymoon destinations. She said lips while he picks booty when asked about the sexiest part of each other’s body. The lovebirds ended the night with a sweet duet of Daniel Caesar’s “Best Part”.
