It’s not uncommon for us to hear stories of celebrities wishing to meet their estranged fathers and actually getting reunited with them after years of fervent searching. Ejay Falcon hopes to be one of these lucky stars, looking for ways to meet his French dad.
According to EJ in this TWBA guesting and other stories he shared in the past, he grew up under the care of his foster dad, Erning, who had to make a lot of sacrifices to support their needs. He knew from an early age that they aren’t blood-related but it didn’t make him love his adoptive father less.
Not only he’s estranged from his dad, his mom also left them while they were still young. While he is a devoted son to his Papa Erning, Ejay believes it’s still important for him to meet his biological father.
“Gusto kong malaman ‘yung mga kwento niya, kung ano’ng nangyari, kung bakit siya nawala. Naiintriga din ako kung paano siya, anong itsura niya, kung ano yung mga nakuha ko sa kanyang attitude, bakit ako ganito,” he said.
Ejay started to talk to people who can help him locate his dad, albeit the struggle due to lack of information. Veteran host Boy Abunda suggested asking for assistance from the Bureau of Immigration so Ejay can get details about is father’s entry on January 7, 1989.
The actor added that his Papa Erning is supportive of his decision. “Dati pa naman, noong nasa PBB pa lang alam naman niya, eh. So tanggap naman niya,” said Ejay.
Ejay joined showbiz after winning the second teen edition of Pinoy Big Brother in 2008. Included in his recent teleseryes are The Blood Sisters and Sandugo.
