During the Christmas season in 2015, Kris Aquino together with son Bimby Yap graced TWBA to promote her MMFF entry “All You Need Is Pag-Ibig.” The Fast Talk segment went fun as Bimby obviously wanted to reveal more about his mom’s intriguing love life.
First, host Boy Abunda dived deep into the mother-and son’s favorites, likes, and dislikes. Kris, a morning person, prefers books over movies. She was quick to choose cooking over crafting. The doting mom believes her son is more opinionated than her, but little Bimby thought she’s smarter than him.
If you wish to make Kris happy, bring her chocolates. The most meaningful gift she got for that year’s Christmas was being able to make her ‘angels’ happy. Transferring Bimby to another school was her best decision for 2015 as it brought him constant friendships. Kris was also glad that the school offered religion and art classes. More importantly, Bimby was happy with his environment.
Kris wished Bimby’s devoted nanny Gerbel would have her own child. Bimby said he’s ready to see Gerbel build her own family, albeit he’s still quite jealous.
When Kris was asked about the last time she felt ‘kilig,’ Bimby took over and revealed, “I remember so many people.” Kris smiled and asked her son to just keep things to themselves. That’s why later on, Bimby refused to name his mother’s constant text mate.
The Queen of All Media doesn’t believe in second chances. “Fun” by Coldplay was the song of her heart. “It starts with ‘I know it’s over but it was fun.’ Alam ko na malabo nang magkabalikan pero nag-enjoy naman tayo. Kasi ganun dapat talaga I think ang attitude mo.” Bimby hummed the song and revealed his mom loves to listen to that in the bathroom.
For Bimby’s turn, the young boy chose cold over hot and sharks over zombies. He likes both chicken and ‘bangus,’ so he can’t pick just one. His favorite subjects are Math, Science, English, and History. And his New Year’s Resolution was to be better at school and be a better son. The best gift he got from Kris was her love. Asked if his mom is allowed to have a boyfriend next year, Bimby said ‘no.’
