Ariel Rivera’s showbiz moniker “Kilabot ng mga Kolehiyala” suggests an inviting charisma to women. But, the singer remains undoubtedly faithful to wife, Gelli de Belen despite the female admiration poured all over him.
“I try not to give her reason to be jealous,” Ariel said as he talked about his smooth-sailing 21-year marriage with Gelli. “We never fight”, he added. According to Ariel, the best secrets to a long-lasting relationship are communication and keeping one’s individuality.
Ariel and Gelli consider themselves as empty nesters since their two sons, Joaquin and Julio, are now based in Canada to pursue their studies. Ariel admits the set-up gets difficult at times as the sense of longing never leaves. Nonetheless, he is proud that his sons have grown into fine young men who are respectful and knowledgeable of their surroundings. In the Fast Talk segment, Ariel revealed that he has the tendency to spoil his kids.
“I find it cute,” Ariel said in reaction to the memes about him. It was only last year when Ariel put up his own social media account. Boy Abunda, who is also a favorite subject of these online materials, appreciates the young generation’s expression of creativity.
Ariel invites the fans to support his newest Kapamilya series, Sandugo, airing on September 30.
“It’s about family, the love of parents, and how we keep the family together despite everything”, Ariel talked about the show. Sandugo also stars Gardo Versoza, who, according to Ariel, is more handsome than him.
Ejay Falcon, Aljur Abrenica, Elisse Joson, Jessy Mendiola, Vina Morales, and Cherry Pie Picache are also part of the stellar cast.
