Apart from its intriguing storyline, another factor that makes the movie “Untrue” interesting is its unique location set in The Republic of Georgia. Its lead stars, Xian Lim and Cristine Reyes, believe that Georgia, specifically its capital city, Tbilisi, was chosen because of its old European vibe. At this point of the interview, Xian takes out two handcrafted traditional dolls he bought in Tbilisi, prompting Cristine to scream out of fear. According to Xian, souvenir crafts like the dolls, horns, and skulls can be seen displayed along Tbilisi. Cristine says she had nightmares and ghostly experiences after seeing the items to the point that she transferred to another hotel. “Biglang namatay ‘yung ilaw sa room ko! Pagkakita ko sa labas, may kuryente naman pero bakit sa kwarto ko wala? Sabi ko, ‘Ah, siguro dahil ‘yun sa binili ni Xian. May bad spirit ‘yan’. Tapos galit na galit ako kay Xian,” she recounts. Even Boy Abunda agrees that the dolls are indeed scary.
Talking more about the film, Cristine shares that “Untrue” tells the story of two OFWs hiding their own lies and secrets. They fell in love and the plot becomes thicker from there.
The guests are then asked to reveal the biggest lies about them. “Siguro ‘yung lie na sinasabi nila na matapang ako. To be honest, hindi ako matapang,” Cristine’s response. “When people say na ‘Ang galing galing mo!’ I just feel na ‘pag naniwala ka sa magaling ka, you’d feel kampante. Ayaw kong paniwalaan,” says the star of Love Thy Woman
