The King of Talk Boy Abunda opened the show by featuring a #ItanongMoSaTWBA question asking about the real status of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. Tito Boy shared a statement from Liza’s manager, Ogie Diaz, saying Liza is still in the USA and recovering from a surgery due to an injured finger. It is no secret that this injury was the reason behind Liza’s surprising withdrawal from doing the highly-coveted Darna role.
Tito Boy added that Enrique recently went to the United States as well to look after Liza; proving that they are still together as a couple. He enticed the LizQuen fans by saying Liza and Enrique are bound to start in their next project once they return in the Philippines.
After the short segment, Tito Boy introduced his guest for the night, controversial Pinoy Big Brother Otso housemate Banjo Dangalan, otherwise known as “The Funny Fighter ng Quezon City”.
Banjo was the latest housemate to be sanctioned with a forced eviction due to his offensive behavior towards female housemates and blurting out rape jokes.
In his TWBA guesting, Banjo shared the most important lessons he learned from the controversies. “Huwag po munang magbibitaw ng jokes hangga’t hindi mo pa kilala ‘yung mga taong nasa harapan mo”, he said.
Banjo humbly owns up to his wrongdoings and he even thanked the bashers for opening his eyes and allowing him to see all the mistakes he’s done. Nonetheless, he asked for another chance to prove himself and show that he really isn’t the bad guy everyone perceives him to be.
“Thank you kasi kung hindi dahil sa inyo, ‘di ko po maiintidihan lahat ng pagkakamamli ko. Sana po bigyan niyo po ako ng pagkaakataon na patunayan ang sarili ko, at wala po talaga akong masamang intension. Sorry po talaga”, Banjo’s sincere message to those he offended from his nasty jokes while inside Bahay ni Kuya.
