Pinoy Big Brother Otso’s “Funny Fighter ng Quezon City” Banjo Dangalan has initially made quite an impact to the audiences in his first few days inside Kuya’s house due to his funny character. After all, fans are drawn to housemates equipped with sense of humor, PBB’s line of Big Winners in the past years would prove so.
But, in just a few more days after, Banjo’s humor has become a source of controversy inside Bahay ni Kuya. The funny fighter was no longer funny at all, said the female housemates who totally felt offended with Banjo’s green jokes and awkward antics such as sniffing a girl’s hair.
The series of crude actions and malicious remarks from Banjo pushed Big Brother to grant him a forced eviction; citing several rules violated from the PBB manual.
After getting kicked out of the house, Banjo guested in TWBA to clear his side of the story. Screenshots of netizens’ opinion are shown in the big screen; some of them are lambasting Banjo while others are coming to his defense.
In a sea of remarks about him, Banjo said the most positive ones he gets are those trying to defend him from the negative allegations; such as those who choose to focus on the hard work he’s shown inside Kuya’s house.
“Pangit po ako”, this, according to Banjo, is the most heartbreaking comment he’s received so far.
On the other hand, he finds the “manyak” reactions as the most invalid. “Isang masayahaing tao lang po, nagmula sa mahirap na buhay. Talagang natural na po sa akin ang pagiging palabiro at masayahin na tao”, Banjo said to describe the real him.
The ex-housemate mentioned respect, especially to women, as the biggest lesson he’s learned from his short stint inside the Pinoy Big Brother house.
“Tinatanggap ko po ang pagkakamali ko. Sana po bigyan n’yo po ako ng pagkaakataon na patunayan ang sarili ko, at wala po talaga akong masamang intensyon. Sorry po talaga”, Banjo’s sincere message to those he offended from his nasty jokes while inside Bahay ni Kuya.
