One to always wear her heart on her sleeves, Angelica Panganiban has kept her love life an open book. Her ‘hugots’ would hint at her relationship status whether she’s in love or going through a painful season. So when asked about matters of the heart in a past episode of Tonight with Boy Abunda, the Kapamilya actress didn’t hesitate to open up.
Angelica was then promoting a film with Drama Queen Judy Ann Santos, who gave her a short but meaningful piece of advice, “Just love.” Knowing how intense Angelica’s love can get, Boy Abunda reacted, “Ayan ka na naman sa just love. Eh, ‘pag nagmahal ‘yan, walang nakikita.”
But Judy Ann believes that’s exactly how true love looks and feels like, “’Pag dumating ‘yung love, na totoo ha, hindi mo mapapansin na ‘yun pala ‘yun. Kasi you won’t build your world around it. The world will build on its own for the both of you. Gagawa siya ng mundo para sa inyong dalawa without you knowing it, without you planning it.”
Angelica seconded, “Naniniwala kasi ako dun, Tito Boy. Sabi ko nga, ngayon nag-e-enjoy pa lang ako. Hindi ko pa nakikita ‘yung sarili ko sa isang relationship ulit.” Although, she thinks love can also happen unexpectedly, “Hindi ko rin naman masasabi ‘yan, ‘di ba? Baka next week, ini-interview n’yo ako ulit. Mahirap magsalita nang tapos.”
She continued, “Pero, gusto kong i-ready ‘yung sarili ko dahil pakiramdam ko naman, ‘yung susunod, eh siya na. So, gusto ko, buong-buo na ulit ako n’un. Gusto ko, kung ano ‘yung mga naibigay ko sa mga taong napagbigyan ko ng pagmamahal, gusto ko maibigay ko dito sa mas deserving.”
And based on her present “life updates” on social media, with the news about her first pregnancy with partner Gregg Homan, we can clearly tell that Angelica has found what she’s been preparing herself for.
