Before Joshua Garcia became one of today’s hottest stars, he was an ordinary guy with humble beginnings, shared in this throwback episode from Tonight with Boy Abunda.
During his guesting, Joshua was asked to compare his 15-year-old self to his present self while his old photo flashed on the LED screen. The changes are obvious on the physical. Joshua then was puny but he’s already got the appeal.
Back then, he would make do with 10-peso daily allowance, enough for chips and ‘palamig’ during break time. It’s different now as he can already buy the things he wants.
At 15, Joshua loved to hang out at computer shops to watch other players because he didn’t have the money to play.
So when he had enough earnings from acting, the Kapamilya star bought the things he used to only dream of. “Ngayon, may sarili na akong computer.
Making his dreams happen also came with keeping his family together. Joshua used to live with only his uncle, stepmom and half-siblings but now his sister and father are with him. His mom would spend time with them when she’s on a vacation.
