In her first TWBA guesting, actress and beauty queen Alyssa Muhlach talked about the pros and cons of being part of a well-known showbiz clan. Alyssa, daughter of Almira Muhlach and ex-PBA cager Bong Alvarez, said her last name comes with a certain expectation.
“Lagi akong pressured to live up to people’s expectations na ‘pag “Muhlach” ka kailangan lagi kang ganito kagaling, automatically”, Alyssa related. Yet, the beauty queen-actress twisted these negativities into positive ones, saying the public presumptions can also be a source of challenge to always do better.
She also shared juicy details about her experience in filming the hit horror film “Clarita” top billed by Jodi Sta. Maria. The said movie is Alyssa’s first big showbiz project and she’s admittedly challenged doing the film.
Alyssa is a self-confessed scared cat, adding she’s never watched any horror film before Clarita was offered to her. So, when she was tapped to do the film, Alyssa had to prepare herself by mustering the courage to watch online horror series first.
Aside from her talent in acting and her elegant poise, Alyssa is also blessed with good singing skills. She gave a sample of her golden voice by singing Sharon Cuneta’s “Ikaw”, the song dedicated to her mother, actress Almira Muhlach.
To make her first TWBA hot seat experience more fun, Alyssa took on the Fast Talk Challenge where she revealed doing a horror film is more challenging than joining a beauty pageant. Enrique Gil is her dream leading man while she picked Coco Martin as the sexiest man in the Philippines.
“In the name of Love” is her favorite Aga Muhlach film. Alyssa revealed she has plans of still pursuing beauty pageants. Alyssa joined Miss World Philippines in October 2018 and crowned Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2018.
