Couple Alyssa Valdez and Kiefer Ravena, known in the sports world as “The Phenoms” recently celebrated their third anniversary through a simple dinner and exchange of gifts. Now that their relationship has grown deeper and longer in time, Alyssa admits Kiefer’s grand romantic gestures faded away.
But, despite this fact, Alyssa is still happy and content as Kiefer learned to be more focused on the little things, like sneaking in a five minute meet-up amid their busy training schedules since they now rarely have time to go on bigger dates. For Alyssa, these little things still turn out grand when seen in a wider perspective.
Alyssa reveals she and Kiefer have opposing personalities and she even sometimes wonder how they managed to keep their relationship strong despite their differences. “You really can’t explain it but maybe one thing that works for us is the friendship. Every day, parang bago pa rin ‘yung relationship namin and we feel the care and love for each other,” Alyssa relates. “You can’t really explain magic,” Boy Abunda remarks.
Apart from her anniversary with Kiefer, Alyssa also celebrates her twenty-sixth birthday. Kiefer gives her a heartwarming birthday message, saying he wishes Alyssa to fulfill all her dreams and they may celebrate more birthdays together. Kiefer also describes Alyssa as a true God-fearing and family-oriented person.
To end the interview, Alyssa invites everyone to catch her debut film “My letters to Happy” showing on July 17. She also asks for everyone’s support in the upcoming Sea Games, and her current stint in the PVL Tournament.
