In 2019, Jodi Sta. Maria accomplished three full-length films, one teleserye, 15 travel destinations, and a consistent scholastic performance. When asked how she managed to achieve all these, the jill-of-all-trades points the credits to the gracious God.
“Clarita,” the horror movie she previously starred in, has bagged a spot in the 40th Fantasporto International Film Festival in Portugal and has been recognized at the 10th Mirabile Dictu International Catholic Film Festival in Vatican.
In four months’ time, Jodi will finally earn her diploma in Psychology. Her journey wasn’t easy but it was certainly a fulfilling one. Despite the busy schedule, the Kapamilya actress still finds time for traveling and a little bit of vlogging on the side. She considers travelling an astonishing and humbling experience, seeing herself as just a tiny speck marvelling at the beauty of the world. On creating vlog content especially food reviews, Jodi doesn’t follow strict rules but just to stay true to herself and talk in layman’s terms.
All these, Jodi won without a man by her side. She is not in a relationship at the moment and she “wouldn’t mind being single forever.” The talented artist feels content blending with the current season of her life. “Alone doesn’t mean lonely,” said the Twitter world’s Queen of Wisdom. Jodi takes advantage of being single to grow and discover more about herself. “This is the longest that I’ve been single and I realized that it’s a beautiful season to fall in love with life,” she added.
She admitted that her past experiences have somewhat affected the way she looks at life and love. She is in no rush to change her relationship status but if there’s something that would convince her to entertain romance again, it would be none other than a clear direction.
To end the interview, Jodi played the Yes, No, Maybe Game where she looked into possibly doing kissing scenes with some Kapamilya actors. Jodi is open to sharing on-screen kisses with Piolo Pascual, Joem Bascon, Sam Milby, Jericho Rosales and John Lloyd Cruz. She felt a bit reluctant with Marco Gumabao because of age gap and with Coco Martin due to their sibling-like relationship.
Jodi invites fans to catch her digital series “My Single Lady” now streaming on iWant.
