Tonight with Boy Abunda welcomes two popular young stars of today, CJ Navato and Kristel Fulgar. The pair has been known for their previous stunts as child actors in the long-running comedy program, Goin’ Bulilit, and have since then been taking on the television and film scene in new roles that transition them from child to adult actors. Tonight, the duo showcases their singing tandem, gives us a glimpse into their beliefs on conspiracy theories—in line for their upcoming film, “Class of 2018,” where they reunited with fellow Bulilits Nash Aguas and Sharlene San Pedro.
CJ and Kristel give a glimpse into their new movie, a suspense-comedy following the story of survival of a group of students quarantined in a military facility with an infectious unidentified virus. The two stars tell more about their characters on the film where Kristel plays an ex-mean girl and CJ, the nerdy conspiracy theorist of the group. On the topic of conspiracy theories, both stars admit to be believers and CJ explains that it’s basically believing in different phenomena such as the world having several multiverses to exist. CJ strongly believes in the concept of having several versions of oneself in other dimensions and that there are worlds beyond the one we currently live in today. He also shares that he believes in the possibility of time travel and would probably travel to the future if given the chance. When asked on whom he wants to see as his wife in the future, CJ unabashedly answers that he would like to see his current girlfriend.
On talks of their personal life, CJ narrates how he met his non-showbiz girlfriend, Rain. He admits that he felt a sense of déjà vu when he first met her—an inkling that he has met her before despite having only seen her for the first time. Tito Boy then opens about a rumor going around that he and Rain fought about Kristel to which CJ immediately debunks, confirming that no fight happened and that Rain understands his place as an actor and is in fact well-acquainted with the young actress.
