Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano is a natural head-turner, with a face that’s been hailed as the most beautiful in the world.

In a past TWBA interview, Liza said that vanity is just part of the job. Her social media photos may show her getting all glammed up and poised but behind the cameras, she’d rather embrace her natural beauty. She prefers to be just the simple girl that she really is, although she’s learned to live with other people’s endless remarks about her stunning aura.

However, Liza also said she can’t see herself that way because she has a different definition of beauty. For her, gorgeous means classic, elegant, and simple. She mentioned Audrey Hepburn and Kendall Jenner as pegs.

When told that she actually lives up to that definition, the bashful Liza smiled and expressed her thoughts about having a pretty face. “I appreciate it. Pero minsan feeling ko ‘yun lang ang nakikita, eh. I don’t want it to be like that. I don’t want them to just remember me because I’m pretty,” she explained.  

Veteran host Boy Abunda agreed, saying being called beautiful can lead to an uncomfortable feeling of having to prove oneself more. But he knows that’s not how Liza should feel.  

Liza’s love team partner and boyfriend, Enrique Gil, added, “May gano’n. ‘Di ba when people say you’re pretty, usually, ‘ah just a pretty face.’”
