Time must be passing at a slower pace for Anne Curtis because she barely looks like she has aged a day since these photos were taken.
She took us back in time through a number of her childhood bonding moments with the family. Anne shared with us that she actually got her father’s smile and that she is “little wobbly.” In one post, she looked every bit like the responsible big sister as she carried her baby brother. There were some of her own adorable shots too just because. Who would have thought that this gap toothed, innocent and sweet young lady who had an Anna Chlumsky phase because of the 1991 film “My Girl” would become one of the biggest actresses in the country?
She began her showbiz journey as a 12-year-old in 1997, starring in the Peque Gallaga-Lore Reyes fantasy film “Magic Kingdom,” and went on to reach her climax in her acting career winning Best Actress plums for such films as “Baler” and “No Other Woman.” She also gave exceptional performances in the hit movies “Sid & Aya: Not A Love Story,” “Buy Bust,” “Aurora,” “Just A Stranger,” “Unforgettable,” and her most recent film, “The Mall and The Merrier” in 2019 with fellow It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda.
As a Kapamilya, she began her dramatic journey as a 19-year-old on the drama Hiram. She would later become one of the most prominent Kapamilya artists appearing in variety shows, such as ASAP, and the longest-running drama anthology in Asia, Maalaala Mo Kaya. Her first lead role came when she took on the character Imang in Pablo S. Gomez’s Kampanerang Kuba in 2005. Since then, she appeared as a host on Qpids, Star Circle Quest, and took on unforgettable dramatic stints in Love Spell, Maging Sino Ka Man, Dyosa, May Bukas Pa, Green Rose, 100 Days to Heaven, Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw, and her centerpiece portrayal of Mars Ravelo’s Dyesebel. She also served as the main presenter of the talent show I Love OPM and made a more recent appearance on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
In 2009, Anne landed the hosting gig that made her a household name, being one of the original hosts of the morning talent competition Showtime, which evolved into the noontime show It’s Showtime today. While she went on hiatus starting in 2019, before she gave birth to daughter Dahlia Amelie, with husband Erwan Heussaff, Anne is expected to return to the It’s Showtime family anytime soon.
During that year, Anne appeared on Tonight With Boy Abunda to talk about her family life, her marriage, among other topics, including her sentimental collectibles.
