The King of Talk Boy Abunda has been famous for his straightforwardness and sincerity in asking even the most controversial questions to the personalities he interviews on his shows, such as Tonight With Boy Abunda.
Apart from providing us glimpses or insights on the lives of our favourite celebrities – may it be personal, career, or romantic – he’s also able to make them finally ‘fess up about the undying and highly-debated issues hurled at them by those who have been following their journey through the years, such as undergoing plastic surgery.
Since that topic is arguably still a taboo for some, we’re absolutely impressed with how these nine Filipina celebrities responded to the allegations of them being “retokada”.
As we witnessed how they began and blossomed into becoming one of the brightest and most sought-after celebrities in the local entertainment scene, one of the allegations relentlessly thrown at Kathryn Bernardo and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid is if they went under the knife, which they both denied.
The Queen of Hearts imparted that it actually never piqued her and retorted that her transformation is purely because of maturity. She also said that there’s certainly nothing wrong with others’ decision to enhance something in their bodies and pleaded the public to already stop the bringing up the issue.

One the other hand, the Asia’s Songbird admitted that she, too, was accused of having breast implants due to her décolletage-baring photo on the cover of one of her albums. But according to her, a lot of adhesive tapes were used just to expose her cleavage.

While many are fascinated by the beauty of up-and-rising actress and vlogger Ivana Alawi, there are still some who seemingly doubt that it’s fake, such as her butt. The Filipina-Moroccan sexy star debunked it, disclosing that she’s actually being bullied because of it in her younger years and being called “bibe” (or duck), making her hate her own body. However, she’s open in doing it and if there’s a part of her that she would want to get enhanced, it’s going to be her nose.

As they still appear youthful despite their age, veteran actresses like Angel Aquino, Lorna Tolentino, Alma Moreno, and Eula Valdes are also prone to “retokada” issues. Thus, in their separate interviews on TWBA, they refuted it and simply laughed it off.
Angel, who’s now already 47 years old and has two grown-up daughters, divulged the secret behind her ageless beauty and that she hasn’t “touched” her face yet and isn’t sure yet if she’s going to do so someday.

Taking on Fast Talk during her interview in 2018 wherein she was asked if she already undergone “retoke,” 58-year-old actress Lorna Tolentino hastily uttered “hindi pa” and immediately added in jest: “hindi pa? May plano?”

Sixty-one-year-old Alma was also asked the same question in her appearance on the talk show during the Fast Talk segment, to which she strongly answered, “Hindi!”

While these celebrities denied the “retoke” allegations hurled at them, Kapamilya female artists Chie Filomeno and Miho Nishida courageously admitted going under the knife.
In her guesting last year, the Love Thy Woman actress confessed that she had a nose job, telling Tito Boy that there’s nothing wrong with enhancing anything in her body since it’s her choice and as long as she doesn’t step on anyone.

Following the controversial plastic surgery she had in 2017, Pinoy Big Brother 737 Big Winner Miho Nishida finally broke her silence about it by saying, “Para sa akin, Tito Boy, para sa isang artista, gusto ko lagi akong maganda, lagi akong handa kung saan man ako. Gusto ko maipakita sa tao na, ‘Ay, maganda pala si Miho. Maganda siya’. Kasi ‘yon naman ang trabaho natin. Kailangan lagi tayong maganda, maayos. ‘Yon lang po.”
