Yet, her journey didn’t come easy. It was, in fact, a bit surprising that she even received suggestions to undergo an abortion. Nathalie’s pregnancy happened at the time when her acting career was slowly soaring into its peak but she was determined to keep her child even if it meant leaving showbiz for a while. Besides, her mother’s unwavering support boosted her courage. Nathalie gave birth in Australia where her family is based. She named her daughter Penelope which is her late father’s favorite name. That way, she would always be reminded of her Dad’s memories.
Nathalie revealed that she has broken up with Penelope’s father due to personal differences. “I wanted to be respected and loved the same way I love pero hindi ganoon ‘yung nakikita ko. It’s better for us to have separate lives for our daughter to have a happier environment”, Nathalie’s honest confession.
