In the grueling and unpredictable world of show business, it is presumed impossible to build lasting relationships. Thus, it’s indeed delightful to find out and see how our beloved celebrities are able to connect and build relationships, either as lovers or as friends, amidst their busy schedules and the endless controversies surrounding them. Just like real-life best friends Janella Salvador and Julia Barretto.
Coming from two of the most well-known families in the local entertainment industry – the Barrettos and the Salvadors – it must have been easy for them to claim a spot, yet both of them were able to shine on their own through the perseverance, hard work, talent, and beauty they brandished. Being batchmates in the Star Circle 2013, it was not only their careers that took off, but their beautiful friendship as well.

Both of them might be very busy with their respective projects or other personal commitments, but they make sure to find time for each other by hanging out whenever possible and by simply reaching out to one another via text messages or phone calls.
In her guesting in Tonight With Boy Abunda last August 9 to promote her teleserye comeback The Killer Bride, she admitted talking about it with her leading man Joshua Garcia, who happened to be her best friend’s ex-boyfriend.
Janella on controversy involving Joshua & Julia: “I’d like to exclude myself from the issue”
“We talked about it, of course. But as much as possible kasi, I’d like to exclude myself from the issue kasi I feel like it’s gonna more fuel to the fire,” she stated.
Then she added, “Pero, of course, Julia being my friend, I reached out to her talaga. I just told her I’m there for her no matter what, s’yempre.”
The 21-year-old actress then went on to describe the kind of friendship she and Julia has by saying, “Actually, it’s more on we both help each other. Ever since, we’ve helped each other every time one has a problem, every time one’s sad. We always make each other feel like we have a friend in each other. ‘Yon ‘yon,”
Those who have been following Janella and Julia’s blooming friendship would know how indeed close they are on-and-off-cam, along with their another batchmate and close friend Liza Soberano, as what we can see in their lovely photos in this gallery.
Apart from their off-cam moments, we’re also thrilled to see them on-screen together through their stints as members of ASAP It Girls together with Liza and Kathryn Bernardo and in Maalaala Mo Kaya when they portrayed fraternal twins Amabelle and Abigail in the “Pink Dress” (BFF Twins) episode shown in 2015.
May your friendship continue to grow, Janella and Julia!
