Over the years, we have seen a lot of on-screen pairings of celebrities coming from the rival networks of the country.
Coming from two different networks, not to mention being part of two of the most phenomenal on-screen pairings, the team-up of Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards was deemed unlikely. But the universe eventually conspired to make this collaboration possible through the blockbuster romantic drama flick “Hello, Love, Goodbye” that has been smashing the box office worldwide on its second week and has already raked in over P500 million as of this writing.
However, more than the astonishing success of this movie and the union of two of the most illustrious stars of their generation, what makes this experience extra memorable for the lead protagonists are the unforgettable fun memories they shared in their taping days in Hong Kong and beyond, as well as the friendship formed between them and the other cast members which they enthusiastically imparted in their television interviews.
In his online dressing room exclusive on Tonight With Boy Abunda, the 27-year-old actor disclosed how he and his latest on-screen partner were able to build their chemistry despite only being able to collaborate for the first time.
“Feeling ko po ‘yong magic na nangyari sa’min ni Kath during the movie was everything was organic, nothing was forced, walang pilitan, we didn’t have to do anything off-cam to make the on-screen chemistry work. Parang that’s the beauty of working with a new pair of two strangers,” he stated.

“Naging magkaibigan kami ni Alden while making this film and mas nakilala ko po kasi siya. And ina-allow ko lang siya na kilalanin din ako so wala kaming pinilit na anything. Magaan ‘yong loob ko sa kanya kasi napaka-genuine po niya. So, yes, naging komportable po ako. Nakatulong din po ‘yong buong barkada na nabuo do’n sa movie,” she related.
