Young hip-hop sensation Ken San Jose was raised in California where he even had a flourishing dancing career. But Ken had move to the Philippines in his desire to spend time with his ailing father, who later on succumbed to lung cancer in March 2018.
Fortunately, his decision to live in the Philippines brought him into a series of local showbiz opportunities; such as the chance to join the Kapamilya talent show World of Dance Philippines where he emerged as the winner under the Junior Division.
Ken started out as a singer and a basketball player at first but his dance journey came as quite inevitable as Ken apparently belong to a clan of dancers. Ken is related to Agnes Locsin, a former director of the Ballet Philippines. The entire Locsin clan of Davao is known for their flair for dancing and for conducting workshops in the said field. So, it is safe to say that Ken’s dancing skills run in the blood.
Due to his parents’ request, Ken had gone through a series of dancing lessons since he was a kid and the first dance form he was able to try was Hip-hop. Ken instantly got hooked with the genre.
In his TWBA guesting, Ken gives Tito Boy a demonstration of his favorite hip-hop moves starting off with isolation. Ken’s expertise and youthful vibes make the technique seem easy and enjoyable. Another one on Ken’s list is the “Woah” dance move which is a current global trend; and entails a series of bounces and lock moves.
